Become an Approved Carrier
Carrier Qualification Requirements
To start the registration process, you’ll need to provide:
- Your MC/MX Number or DOT Number – This helps us verify your company and kick off the approval process.
- Signed Broker-Carrier Agreement – Please review and accept our Broker-Carrier Agreement to ensure mutual understanding and compliance.
- Completed Electronic W9 Form – Submit your W9 form electronically for our records.
- Certificate of Insurance (COI) – The COI must be submitted directly from your insurance producer (agent) and must include at least the following coverage:
- $1,000,000 General Liability
- $1,000,000 Auto Liability
- $100,000 Cargo Insurance
- If your certificate is not already on file with DAT, we’ll request it from your agent on your behalf.
Carrier Compliance Requirements
To maintain high safety and compliance standards across our carrier network, you must meet the following criteria:
- Safety Rating: Must be Satisfactory or None
- Operating Authority: Must hold appropriate and active Federal, State, or Provincial authority to operate.
